Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

Pass the meat through a meat grinder three times to obtain a uniform minced meat.

  2. 2

    Step 2

Add ground breadcrumbs, beaten eggs, milk, salt, pepper and nutmeg to the minced meat. Mix thoroughly.

Alternative: replace breadcrumbs with a large potato. Make a puree from it, add milk and eggs, then mix with meat and spices.

  3. 3

    Step 3

Form meatballs 2–3 cm in size. Fry them in a large amount of vegetable oil in a pan. The meatballs should be arranged loosely so you can easily turn them and fry them evenly on all sides.

  4. 4

    Step 4

    Brown sauce

Melt the butter in a saucepan. Add the flour and stir until it is completely dissolved.

Stirring constantly, pour in the beef broth. Simmer the sauce for 4–5 minutes until it thickens slightly.

Add cream, salt, pepper, soy sauce, and meat broth extract. Pour in 2–3 tablespoons of the liquid remaining from frying the meatballs.

Bring the sauce to a boil and serve with meatballs.

  5. 5

    Step 5

Serve the meatballs with boiled potatoes, green salad, and lingonberry jam. Pour brown sauce over them.
