Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

Thaw the ground meat if necessary. Rinse the young garlic with stems.

  2. 2

    Step 2

Place the cabbage in a deep bowl. Carefully use a knife to cut out the core by making diagonal cuts to remove the cone in one piece.

  3. 3

    Step 3

Place the cabbage in a bag and put it in the microwave for 10–30 minutes depending on the maturity of the head. Periodically check the softness of the leaves by carefully removing the bag — hot steam can cause burns.

  4. 4

    Step 4

While the cabbage is cooking, finely chop the sweet pepper.

  5. 5

    Step 5

Finely chop the garlic head, stem, and leaves.

  6. 6

    Step 6

Heat the vegetable oil in a pan. Fry the pepper and garlic with spices.

  7. 7

    Step 7

Add ground chicken, mix well, and cook until half-done.

  8. 8

    Step 8

Remove the cabbage, open the package and let the head cool slightly. Turn it onto a plate for convenient leaf separation.

  9. 9

    Step 9

Take a cabbage leaf, place the prepared filling on it. Fold it from three sides, starting from the thick part of the leaf, then fold in from the right and left. Roll it into a tube.

  10. 10

    Step 10

Roll all the cabbage rolls until the filling runs out. Arrange them tightly in a pot in one or two rows.

  11. 11

    Step 11

Pour water over the cabbage rolls so that it almost completely covers them. Add spices to taste.

  12. 12

    Step 12

Cover the pot with a lid and simmer over medium heat for about 20 minutes until fully cooked.

  13. 13

    Step 13

Arrange the cabbage rolls on plates and serve with sour cream.
