Instructions

  1. 1

    Step 1

Pour the flour onto a work surface and make a well in the center. Pour in warm water, add olive oil, yeast, and salt. Gradually mix the flour from the edges into the liquid.

  2. 2

    Step 2

Knead the dough until smooth and uniform, until it stops sticking to your hands. Place in a bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let it rise for 1 hour in a warm place.

  3. 3

    Step 3

Cut the bell pepper lengthwise into thin strips. Slice the ham into small pieces, and the salami into half-moons. Grate the cheese or cut it into thin slices.

  4. 4

    Step 4

If you're making tomato sauce from scratch, stew the tomatoes in their own juice with sautéed garlic for 15 minutes. Salt and pepper to taste. Ready-made sauce will also work.

  5. 5

    Step 5

Place the dough on a work surface, knead it and roll it out thinly — about 1 cm thick. This amount of dough will make one large pizza or two medium-sized ones.

  6. 6

    Step 6

Spread the dough with tomato sauce. Arrange ham, salami, and pepper in a circle. Sprinkle generously with cheese.

  7. 7

    Step 7

Place the pizza in an oven preheated to 200 °C for 10–15 minutes or to 250 °C for 8–10 minutes, until the dough is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
