Step 1
Cut the pork into pieces approximately 8–10 cm long and 3–4 cm wide. Pieces of this size will cook evenly and remain juicy.
- 2
Step 2
Dilute the starch in water to the consistency of a slightly thick liquid.
- 3
Step 3
Dip the sliced pork into the starch mixture and coat thoroughly on all sides.
- 4
Step 4
Prepare a deep fryer — a cauldron or a small saucepan. A deep skillet will also work, but there is a risk of burning.
- 5
Step 5
Pour the oil into a pan and turn the heat to maximum. When the oil is heated, add the pork in small portions and reduce the heat to medium. Fry until slightly golden brown.
- 6
Step 6
While the meat is frying, prepare the sauce: combine rice vinegar, soy sauce, tomato paste and sugar, mix thoroughly.
- 7
Step 7
When the last portion of meat remains, prepare a second pan. Chop the vegetables: slice the onion into half rings, cut the red and green peppers into pieces. You can add pineapple and carrots.
- 8
Step 8
Heat the second pan, add a little oil and arrange all the chopped vegetables.
- 9
Step 9
Before the vegetables are completely softened, add all the cooked meat and immediately pour the sauce over it. Mix thoroughly and fry over medium heat until fully cooked. Serve with rice or fried potatoes.
